two eating extremes
The new man on the block did not disappoint. He soon stood up and wandered around the table eating other people suppers. Completely blatant. He unfortunately did not get down to me. It was considered rather hilarious by people. I think the humerous aspects will not last. At least he has the right idea, namely that he must eat.
The lady continues to refuse to eat according to the timetable, and pushes the food away and plays with her paper napkins. I don't know what gibberish she says to me, but I tell her again and again, that if she does not start eating, it will be taken away from her without warning. Eventually she starts it and pretty well finishes it bar a couple of brown crusts, and it gets cleared away. I think her sweet is untouched and junked.
I think tomorrow I will try to sit a little further away, and she will experience her normal problems. She is pretty fit and fast on her feet, so normal dementia is unlikely, and I have no idea what problems she has. Some sort of lack of planning or analysis? She is always annoyed when they take her full plates away. She would be better told to eat in her room.
