the other patients
For completeness I should mention those not eating at the table.
Away from the table I have little to contribute. So much is driven by the patients need to eat at least a survival ration, go to the loo, and not to disturb others.
I guess I would go for better entertainment viewing. The angle of viewing, the content, and the use of headphones would be what I would concentrate on. However probably all you need to do is visit a few other better care homes.
This whole area is just plain difficult. Sky diving may be the better solution.
