Taking the Initiative discombobulates
OK, its based on very little evidence, but it does seem that if you get in early and set up the correct scenario, it really throws the moaners into disarray.
So for instance when they are clearly going to push their food away and say it is awful, get in there quickly and say how good it is.
When they reject their food, they clearly are expecting people to respect their judgement. They do not expect anyone to dismiss it out of hand. Saying things like "you have not even tried it" really throws them.
Frankly they have been getting away with it for too long.
Repeatedly say "I think it very tasty, you should try it" also works a treat. They just are not used to being challenged, and that is what they deserve in spades.
Or the rather simple truth of "I real don't understand what you are saying".
Now I should say that you should only tell the truth, and if that is the case I believe the responses are perfect fair, and the complainers perfectly fair game.
