more on the lady
I think that she is probably stone deaf. I don't think she answered a single question or assertion at lunch today. She responds, but it seems never to be on my topic.
While if I do things by moving something on the table, like retreaving my paper napkin which she has moved to her side, she is on subject. She is remarkably acquisitive at the table, both in objects and space.
When flustered she will often come out with 'words' that I have never heard of, and I assume are made up. She does not respond if I challenge her on this.
I guess not many ever challenge her, and she does seem surprised when I do.
I suspect that I have got as far as I can go, and I can only see myself trying to protect others from her.
Her only risk is in having more able disciples.
