how many days will a shirt be wearable?
At school, we had detachable collars. The collar was changed everyday, the shirt every week. I think we were encouraged to wear stiff starched collars, which needed changing everyday. The shirt lasted a week.
Remember this is in the coal fire era, and steam trains. It was a dirty environment. And we rushed around the place in breaks and between lessons and cycled into school.
In here, people don't want me to wear a shirt for more than a day. I try and point out that the advertising by my company, Unilever, used to be over the top with whiteness, and should not be taken seriously. To no avail. They really belief that crap.
Obviously the more recent advertising the benefits of dirt were total failures of common sense.
