predictable and deterministic thoughts ..... m
I guess that if one thinks that the universe has both these qualities, then we still have issues about the direction of time, but one has a massive simplification with only one past and one future.
God might be a little happier.
The direction of time is solely about the ability to pass information only into the future, and not into the past. A version of the increasing entropy idea.
But I think it is somehow more detailed in that it is not scale dependent in nature. It is true at every level of size and space. Nothing is deterministic at any scale or shape. Things can have high probabilities, but not certainty.
Writing this in pembury hospital, so you can judge if I am getting better or not. (-:
