do we really only have one past?
There seems to be lots of attention to the range of possible futures, but little thought about the range of possible pasts. This seems to be rather cavalier. I think there should be symetery. Of some sort.
In which case I favour the idea of symetry. If there is one future, there should be one past, and vice versa.
This might take one back to a deterministic stance, in both directions. This could be awkward.
