brains and memory
The HP creation of real live memristors, made me think that this is the ideal component for the human brain. It is best when small, and learns from previous currents. You can just see how this could be evolved, and strongly interconnected with the actual mental processes.
A garbage collection process might also be see as generating replays, ie dreams.
foood for thought. At least it is better than transistors, and you can understand why it has been so difficult to spot before.
